Transport Delay
Delays a double signal by a fixed time: out(t) = in(t − delay). Until a full delay has passed the output is the initial value. Without interpolation the delay is rounded to a whole number of time steps; with Linear interpolation the output blends the two samples on either side, so delays between steps are honoured. The block reads its input every step, so it does not break an algebraic loop even for a long delay; put a Unit Delay in the loop for that.

Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Default | Units | Description | ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delay | Number | 0.01 | s (also ms) | How long the signal is held back. Negative values are treated as zero. | delay |
| Initial value | Number | 0 | — | Output until the first input sample has travelled through the delay. | initial_value |
| Interpolation | Choice: Off / Linear | Off | — | Off = round the delay to a whole number of time steps. Linear = blend neighbouring samples so a delay between steps is exact for slowly varying inputs. | interpolation |
