Rate Limiter
Limits how fast a double signal may change. Each step the output moves toward the input by at most rising rate × Δt upward and falling rate × Δt downward (rates are positive magnitudes, in units per second or per minute). Use it for ramped set-points, load-reference ramps and slew-limited actuators. By default the output starts at the first input value (bumpless); it can instead start from a fixed initial value and ramp from there.

Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Default | Units | Description | ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rising rate | Number | 1 | /s (also /min) | Largest allowed increase per unit time (positive magnitude; the sign is ignored). | rising_rate |
| Falling rate | Number | 1 | /s (also /min) | Largest allowed decrease per unit time (positive magnitude; the sign is ignored). | falling_rate |
| Start from | Choice: First input (bumpless) / Initial value | First input (bumpless) | — | First input = the output equals the input on the first step (bumpless). Initial value = the output starts at Initial value and ramps toward the input. | init_mode |
| Initial value | Number | 0 | — | Output value before the first step when Start from = Initial value. | initial_value |
